Get up and work hard everyday—nobody is coming to rescue you.

I'll admit, sometimes opportunity rushes right up and kisses you square on the lips. But, more likely, she'll pass you without a peep—slowing her stride just enough to make some serious eye contact.

How you react next...that will change everything.

My extended familia

The Shema House (2003-2010) was a community house based in Chicago that I co-founded. It originally was created to provide a home-base for a small band of neighborhood volunteers, and family structure for neighborhood teenage boys.

Together we learned many of the lessons. It accomplished some incredible good in the neighborhood.

My first company

Love Without Agenda (2006-2016) was a network of entrepreneurs cooperating to benefit neighborhoods across the globe. Local people often lacked access to the relational & financial resources needed to accelerate their plans. Our network offered a community of belonging & best practices where people could thrive.

LWA taught me the dynamics between local resources and global brands. It helped me to realize the need for technology to reshape how people volunteered and cooperated.

Build Your Social Impact Footprint

Glocal (2017) is a social impact marketplace where people—and the companies and charities they love—can track, showcase and reward volunteer experiences.

I’m driven (ok, obsessed) to see it grow because I know how many people it will help, and how it could re-shape the way societies across the globe volunteer.
