We trust local people to drive local solutions

Each Sunday morning since 2005 I’ve met Richard at a Trader Joe’s to load a cargo van full of organic food to redistribute into the East Garfield Park neighborhood of Chicago. We receive everything that Trader Joe’s sells.

We’ve had 12 locations across the country at one point, and have since helped each build their own 501c3 to remain locally rooted & led.

Now, our lone remaining location feeds 200 homeless people weekly and provides organic food to at-risk families in 4 communities—that’s 125,000 meals a year for 15 years.
